How to Enrol

Enrolment forms are accepted all year round; in public education enrolments are accepted from students from all areas. Be aware that as numbers increase, enrolments are accepted only from within the schools specified area.  A child must attend school from the age of 6 to 15 in NSW.  A child can start school if they are 5 years old by 31st July.

You can download an enrolment form here or contact the school office for a paper copy and school prospectus. You may also wish to make an appointment for an interview with the principal and tour of the school facilities.

To enrol your child we MUST have:
- Proof of the child’s date of birth.  It may be a BIRTH CERTIFICATE or Passport.
- If your child was born overseas, a copy of the VISA is also required.
- An IMMUNISATION CERTIFICATE from your doctor.
- Your address and contact numbers in case of emergency.
- If there is a special custody or guardianship arrangement for your child, we must have a copy of the legal papers.

If you do not have a copy of your child’s birth certificate it may be obtained from the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, 35 Regent Street, Chippendale.

ENROLLING FOR KINDERGARTEN

Starting school is an important step in your child’s life.  At Erskineville Public School we ensure an easy transition by running a comprehensive orientation program for both parent and child.

ORIENTATION AND TRANSITION (for photos click here)

Each year, the school holds an information morning for prospective students and parents. Join us to learn more about our dynamic school, staff and student body.

At orientation or transition day your child can benefit from making new friends and learning about being at school.  Children will experience learning in a classroom and they will also have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the school environment.
