SCHOOL HOURS

School commences – 9:00 am 

Lunch – 11:15 - 12:10 pm

Recess – 1:50 – 2:10 pm

End of school  - 3:00 pm

There is no playground supervision before 8:30 am and after 3:00 pm.  Please make arrangements for your child to be collected by an adult as soon as school finishes and classes are dismissed.

Kindergarten children should be collected from the courtyard after the teacher dismisses them at 3:00 pm.

Teachers supervise the transition to After School Care.

FOOD AT SCHOOL

All children need to be provided with a healthy lunch, drink and snack for recess.  Pack it in a lunchbox with their name clearly visible.  Limited gladwrap is appreciated and recyclable materials for lunch are recommended.

Please, no cans, tins or glass bottles.  No fizzy drinks.

The school does not have a canteen.  Parents can place and pay for an order at Allan’s Cake Shop, 65 Erskineville Public Road (not open on Monday).  Senior students collect lunch orders each day.

NUT FREE SCHOOL

We would like to inform you that Erskineville Public School is a NUT FREE School.  We have several children in attendance at the school that are anaphylactic to nuts (a severe allergic reaction that is potentially life threatening and can stop a child breathing).  Please do not send foods actually containing nuts to school.  Food that carries the warning “May contain traces of nuts” are acceptable.  We can only keep these children safe with your help and support, so please assist us by keeping the above foods as after school treats for your child.
