Roll up, roll up for the Erko Berzerko Fair on Saturday 3 November – Erskineville Public School’s huge community festival to celebrate its 125th birthday.
Erko Berzerko will be a fair to remember our past and our future. Pick up some tips on green living in the sustainability expo and see what the school is doing to safeguard our future environment. Relive days gone by in the local history display.
There will be free free entertainment all day long with headline acts including Erskineville musicians Jackie Orszaczky, John Kennedy, and Bernie Hayes. Amy Longhurst from Eastside Radio and Robbie Buck from Triple J will MC. The day will begin with an Aboriginal welcome ceremony (scroll down for full program).
A kids’ zone will be full of fun with a giant slide, bouncy castle and spinning teacups, hula hooping, loads of craft activities, air brush tattoos, old style games and races, and roving circus entertainers.
Stalls galore will include a gigantic raffle, ring toss, trash or treasure, pre-loved books, clothing and toys, delicious food, Devonshire Tea, original jewellery and crafts, plants from the school’s sustainable garden, a silent auction and much, much more.
Stalls galore will include a chocolate wheel, trash or treasure, pre-loved books and clothing, home baked cakes and delicious food, original crafts, plants from the school’s sustainable garden, a silent auction and much, much more.
Flourishing enrolments have seen Erskineville Public School mark its 125th anniversary by reclaiming, after 30 years, the historic main school building fronting Swanson Street. Erko Berzerko Fair will be raising funds to transform a former carpark in front of the main building back into a vibrant children’s play and recreation area.
Erko Berzerko is grateful for the support of the City of Sydney Council, LJ Hooker Newtown, Housing NSW and Laing & Simmons Newtown.
